Those pieces had fought the other side fervently hard.

On game start, you immediately jump your horse.

I hurriedly uncover my guarding elephant’s side.

Your two chariots riding on the left and right lines.

Feeling stuck, I put up my bodyguard.

You quickly take advantage when my attention goes slack.

Take your head pawn, push and squeeze it into my realm.

I was still worrying about your chariot teams,

When your cannon suddenly jumps out for a check.

You told me to give up, but I don’t want to surrender.

Losing is tolerable, but my pieces, I won’t hand them over.

When cheerful, we’ll sip tea and converse.

When sad, we will indulge in a game of chess.
