Moon of days gone by - where will I return?

The season of poetry in that day had fallen beside the balcony

The lute music in the late night stirred grief.

The sound of sadness echoing through the four seasons. 

There is no one left for me to reminisce

How do I then talk of a future reunion

Clouds in the azure sky drift in countless directions

Who knows if there is still a way back!

Half a cup of wine to soften the lips from the pain of longing

Alone in the late night, just me and my own shadow.

Half a cup of wine for an old friend of the heart-and-soul

Suddenly teardrops flowed and blurred my sight. 

A storm arises in the deep and silent night

Love’s wings broken in the stream of Life. 

Where can one find the recurring dream

Of Pham Thai crying for Quynh Nhu?
