In a river of moonlight streams
Thousand Flowers dwell in beautiful sleep…
Forget all sorrows of their fragile life, so brief.
In a river of moonlight streams,
Old Rocks retell the story of all Things,
And the impermanence of their beings.
In a river of moonlight streams,
Poetic Muses quietly chant their rhymes,
Pray for peace and happiness to lives.
A dream, one night, under the silky moonlight…
One shouldered heavy loads of Dharma scrolls – up a hilly trail.
Shoulders tilt, scrolls spill.
Falling… down aside, on the Bridge of Life.
In a river of moonlight streams,
Old Rocks challenged Serene Thousand Trees:
Enlighten me! Yellow autumns – Will it ever cease?
The persistence of year-after-year falling leaves?
A profound wisdom, Serene Thousand Trees, replied:
“Form is but Emptiness” – That’s the Wheel of Life.
Why kept bothering with Autumn’s changing mind?
In the innumerous moonlight streams
Thousand Flowers, in unison, awake.
Harmoniously blown into an eternal radiant Dharma-lotus.
Poetic Muses celebrate the wordless Dharma’s glorious lights.
Their silent chants emerging over the rivers moon-shine,
Instill calmness and compassion in all Lives.
A reminiscent dream, last night, an awakened I,
Dharma scrolls falling, unroll – the quiescent Way,
By a stream of Thousand Flowers, revel in the fairy night.
Amid the vast green sea of Serene Thousand Trees,
Arising a blissful melody, bird-like
Resonate through the immense sky,
And blend into the silvery galaxy of rivers, infinite moonlight.
