Vast and seemingly boundless, the Misty Cloud Mountain range

A lonely melody of the wind blowing through trees,

by the BamBoo Forest Meditation Temple.

A person deeply in love with an agitated heart, 

Tears flowing, searching for the person of his/her dream.

(huơ huơ huơ huơ huơ)      *       

Climbed the high mountain, three steps from the sky,

Descended into the deep valley, and explored  the long river,

Entered  the bamboo forest, and heard the songs of lovebirds.

I weep a sorrowful sentence: Where is my beloved?

Ha! Under this vast earth and sky, a love-infatuated person wandered.

Amidst the Buddhistic temples, finding a person of his/her dream.

(huơ huơ huơ huơ huơ)    

Like a bird gazing at the sky's immense expanse,

Entangled in love's yearning, trying to catch drops of source rain.

A lifetime of longing, like a silworm extracting silk threads. 

I want to ask a question: 

When will my heart be freed from the threads of longing”
