Mother's lullabies, sweet and tender.

Like beautiful folk songs, like the voices of mountains and rivers.

Like a river returning to its source in the sea,

Carrying a mother’s love, my soul afloat on a spring breeze. 

Through countless miles of worldly paths,

through countless moments of sorrow and joy, 

Mother's lulling words float in my heart. 

Gentle and pure... oh, the loving whispered sounds.

Help me return to the spring of youth season.

Help me remember barefoot steps on flowery hills.

Help me remember my homeland again.

Now so far away, beyond the sky horizon. 

Within me, lives the spirit of the Red River and the Tản Mountain.

Within me, lies Mother’s love, vast as the sky and sea.

Thank you, God, for allowing me to be human.
